As part of its activities to empower and support youth development, DMJ and its partner Pain pour le Monde PPLM initiated the FOCET project. This project aims to be a pilot for strengthening civic engagement and youth inclusion (PRECIJ) in the Adamaoua and Far North regions.

Soon, in the municipalities of the Adamawa Region (Tibati, Ngaoundal, Meiganga, Ngaoundere 1, 2, and 3) and the Far North Region (Mokolo and Maroua-3), the Municipal Job Exchange Fairs (FOCETs) will be held. These fairs will provide a meeting space for employers, those offering partnership opportunities, and potential job seekers to discuss the issues, challenges, and limitations of the employment environment, specifically within each target municipality. The goal is to improve the social and professional integration prospects of vulnerable youth, particularly young women, in order to sustainably increase youth engagement. The FOCETs offer a framework for stimulating debate on employment through the sharing of ideas and proposed solutions to address youth unemployment at the local level. FOCET helps to fuel a local process of reflection and adaptive and inclusive discussion among the population and potential employers on alternative solutions to youth unemployment in order to motivate greater participation of local actors in the search for solutions.
