On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, in Meiganga, Adamawa Region, DMJ and Doual’art officials formally presented completion certificates to young people trained in socio-cultural mediation as part of the Kamerun Stadt project.
In fact, between November 2024 and February 2025, the historic city of Meiganga hosted a program to foster civic awareness of belonging to Cameroonian territory with a traveling documentary exhibition entitled “Kamerun Stadt 1884-1914.” This program retraces, through text and images, the thirty founding years of the establishment of contemporary Cameroon’s institutions.
Three schools in the city as well as the Meiganga Town Hall have been targeted to host training, exhibitions and conferences.
May 7, 2025, marked the conclusion of this phase with the presentation of certificates to 15 young people trained in socio-cultural mediation. This ceremony, part of DMJ’s project to Strengthen Civic Supervision and Youth Inclusion (RECIJ), took place in the presence of the Departmental Delegate for Arts and Culture, the District Delegate for Youth and Civic Education, representatives from MINEPAT, MINEFOP, and MINEPIA, as well as several other young people from the municipality. AJEPDECC, as the local representative for DMJ, handled the logistics.
