The sad event took place on 10<sup>th<\/sup> August, 2025 in Germany. He was laid to rest in Freetown, Sierra Leone on 31<sup>st<\/sup> August, 2025. &nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"959\" src=\"https:\/\/peaceworkafrica.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Elijah01.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11847\" srcset=\"https:\/\/peaceworkafrica.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Elijah01.jpg 720w, https:\/\/peaceworkafrica.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Elijah01-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/peaceworkafrica.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Elijah01-56x75.jpg 56w, https:\/\/peaceworkafrica.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Elijah01-541x720.jpg 541w, https:\/\/peaceworkafrica.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Elijah01-507x675.jpg 507w, https:\/\/peaceworkafrica.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Elijah01-480x639.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width:767px) 480px, 720px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Culture Radio is one of the longest serving partners of Bread for the World (BftW) in Sierra Leone. Members of the Network were present during the burial ceremony to pay their last respect to the late CEO, and delivered the following tribute:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tribute to Elijah Mohamed Issa Gregra<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We pay tribute to the life and legacy of Elijah Mohamed Issa Gregra, Chief Executive Officer of Culture Radio, an institution that is a key partner in the Civil Peace Service of Bread for the World.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elijah was a visionary voice for peace, justice, and social transformation in Sierra Leone, specifically in the area of access to land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through Culture Radio, he amplified the concerns of the marginalized, championed dialogue, and used the power of media to promote unity and reconciliation in our society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a partner of the Civil Peace Service Network, Elijah worked tirelessly to ensure that radio was not only a platform for entertainment, but also a tool for education, civic awareness, and peacebuilding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elijah\u2019s passing is a profound loss\u2014not only to Culture Radio, but to the wider peacebuilding movement in Sierra Leone and beyond. His voice may be silent, but his vision lives on in the countless lives he touched and the seeds of peace he planted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As partners of the CPS network of Bread for the World in Sierra Leone and Liberia.
