According to Decontee George, the YMCA with support from CPS will hold a Civic Competence and Election Preparedness Training for 110 persons in four counties to begin on June 1, 2023. Other activities under this initiative will include voters\u2019 education in Bong and Nimba Counties, with Peace Advocates conducting the awareness, targeting marketers, schools and motorcyclists.<\/p>\n<p>It will also target religious leaders on non-violent elections and voters \u2013 their responsibilities and roles with expert trainers and co-facilitators targeting 120 persons in 4 counties 30 persons per county in Montserrado, Bong, Margibi and Nimba Counties.<\/p>\n<p>Another activity planned by the YMCA is a Youth Peace Actor Summit targeting political parties and youth groups from the fifteen counties for 500 persons. This will include symposiums and parades, participants guaranteeing to promote peace at all costs.<\/p>\n<p>Following the activities, it is expected that citizens will know their rights as voters and the qualities in the candidates.
