The training was sponsored by the United Nations Development Program, UNDP with funding from the Peace Building Fund.<\/p>\n<p>The training focused on conflict mediation, electoral and human rights monitoring, triggers of electoral violence, electoral violence prevention and early warning mechanisms. According to the Center for Justice and Peace Studies these trainings are part of the institution\u2019s program, which is directly linked to the Peace-building Fund Project titled \u201cPromoting Peaceful Electoral Environment and Development (SCAPED) in Liberia. The training outcomes and activities seek to reduce electoral violence through enhancing a more inclusive, coordinated, and effective early warning dialogue at the community and political parties levels.<\/p>\n<p>The CJPS is also working with communities in the five counties to coordinate the activities of the community watch teams into the peace building early warning system, which enable them track triggers of mob and electoral violence and report mechanism in their respective communities. The Peace Building Office is collaborating with the Center for Justice and Peace Studies in providing the training.
