The CEDM was established at the UEA to honor Professor Denis MUKWEGE, in recognition of his fight against rape and sexual violence and for the perpetuation of his action. Collective of community radios in North Kivu

Thematic and geographic platform created on May 2, 2005 by the leaders of 17 community radio stations and 1 community television station in the city of Butembo. Its head office is in Goma. It is recognized by the Provincial Order n°01/062/CAB/GP-NK/2012 of June 62, 2012. At the center of its creation, the will of the leaders of community radios and televisions to set up a framework of solidarity to better serve the population and to better defend the freedom of the press in North Kivu. It gathers these days 62 associative media.
