CSSL is a national, not-for-profit, non-governmental organization and the oldest environmental organization, with technical expertise in the conservation and wise use of Sierra Leone's natural resources. Since its founding in 1986, the Society has provided policy advice, undertaken environmental education, facilitated learning and advocacy work on good conservation practices, implemented conservation and sustainable livelihoods projects, and facilitated the biodiversity research.
vision: Make the Society a visible, empowered/sustainable organization capable of playing a key role in influencing and implementing conservation, sustainable development and livelihood improvement programs in Sierra Leone

The Sierra Leone Adult Education Association (SLADEA) was established in September 1978. It is a non-governmental organization (NGO) which currently has 15 branches distributed in the administrative regions of the country. With our educational programs, we impart: adult literacy, life skills, vocational skills, education for out-of-school youth and adults aimed at expanding their learning opportunities, filmmaking and training media for peace.

Accreditation Movement for the Activities of Humanity for Development (MADAM)

MADAM is a national NGO established in 1991 in Sierra Leone. Started as a community group and association before the civil unrest in Sierra Leone; and is one of the oldest and leading national NGOs operating in the north of the country with activities in Bombali, Tonkolili and Koinadugu districts. The organization has a proven track record in supporting farmers to improve food security and nutrition, value chain development, promoting farming as a business, promoting local income generation initiatives such as village savings and loans and community revolving loans. Sierra Leone Council of Churches (CCSL)

The Sierra Leone Council of Churches, founded in 1924, is an ecumenical organization that brings together more than 24 churches of different denominations and 9 affiliated organizations. As a church-led network that currently serves approximately one million members and nearly 3 million beneficiaries each year with the potential to reach more by 2026, CCSL places a strong emphasis on democratic leadership, transparent governance and inclusive participation of churches and their communities in their structures. Cultural radio

Culture Radio was established in 2007 as a private broadcaster to inform, entertain and educate the general public on issues of civic education and socio-economic development, while providing an alternative to save the environment through a project in implementation course entitled “Waste to Wealth – production of charcoal from agricultural waste”. . She is a member of more than 50 community radio stations across the country, dubbed COMNET, which sometimes jointly broadcast national programs through simulcasts. The radio is also a member of several other networks, including the civil service peace network supported by Bread for the World in Sierra Leone.

Men's Association for Gender Equality (MAGE) - Sierra Leone

Established in the Guinean refugee camps in 2001 and reactivated and registered in Sierra Leone as a national NGO since 2011 to date, MAGE-SL is a civil society entity and chairs the MenEngage Sierra Leone national network of NGOs and activists engaging men and boys on women's human rights, sexual and reproductive health rights, gender justice and social issues through the transformation of gender, social norms and masculinities. The organization is an active member of MenEngage Africa (a continental alliance of national networks and international partners working with men and boys to promote gender justice, equality, women's rights and empowerment), MenEngage Global Alliance, and also a member of the steering committee of MenEngage Africa.

The future in our hands (FIOH)

An FIOH group was started by Olatunde Johnson in Freetown in the 1980s and registered as a national non-governmental organization by Edward Kargbo in 1995. The first interest in FIOH stemmed from an article in the New Internationalist, and the second from a seminar in Port Loko, northern Sierra Leone, when Mike Thomas made a second visit to the country in 1993. Edward, who attended the seminar, formed an association of 13 farmer groups which was later named the FIOH Farmers Union. The name was later changed to FIOH – Sierra Leone.
Mission: Coordinate and facilitate the efforts of village development groups by enabling them to access agricultural inputs, modern agricultural techniques, education and poverty alleviation programs, sanitation and credit facilities for self-sufficiency and self-sufficiency.

Freetong Players International

Fritong Players International was founded in 1985 as a theater performance group to provide entertainment and education to the people of Sierra Leone. Since its inception, the organization has been conducting edutainment activities throughout the country to assist the government and communities in addressing socio-political threats, including the decade-long civil war, the Ebola virus epidemic, the covid-19 pandemic, and other emerging issues. Through theater and song, the Fritong Players organization has also supported the country in marketing Sierra Leone's beautiful cultural heritage, while promoting national peace and social cohesion among citizens.

Sierra Leone Opportunity and Industrialization Center (SLOIC)

SLOIC was established in Sierra Leone in 1976, with its first training center in Bo Town, in the south of the country. A year later, SLOIC began offering business development training programs in the capital, Freetown, and soon had its headquarters in the city. The need for vocational training services throughout the country was evident, so SLOIC began expanding its training sites throughout the 1980s. SLOIC's vocational services were greatly affected during the civil war of the 1990s, but remained operational and shifted to providing resettlement services and trauma counseling to those affected by the conflict. Currently, the organization is committed to supporting the government and communities by providing technical and vocational support to unskilled, unemployed and vulnerable youth, especially to reshape their minds from violence and drug addiction.
Mission: To contribute to the socio-economic development of Sierra Leone through vocational training, business training and credit assistance.
