The Civil Peace Service (CPS) Liberia Network is set to commence a two-day capacity-building training on resource mobilization for participants drawn from its seven partner organizations.

The training will take place May 7–8, 2026, in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County. It aims to strengthen the institutional capacity of CPS partners to mobilize resources, enhance accountability, and remain relevant and sustainable in an evolving funding landscape.
According to the CPS Liberia Network Coordinator, Madam Decontee E. George, the training is designed to broaden participants’ understanding of resource mobilization strategies beyond traditional funding sources and to support organizations in identifying and leveraging internal and locally available resources.
She added that the initiative will further focus on improving financial accountability systems and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
At the conclusion of the training, participants are expected to demonstrate improved knowledge and skills in resource mobilization and sustainability planning. They will also be better positioned to identify new funding opportunities and partnerships, strengthen internal financial and governance systems, and develop practical strategies to enhance accountability and boost donor confidence.
