Understanding violence in youth settings in Cameroon – A publication on the results of an action-research project

In response to one of the major scourges undermining Cameroonian society, namely violence among young people, the partner organisations of CPS-BftW Cameroon decided in 2021 to carry out action-research in order to better understand the problem and propose solutions through advocacy for peace education. In 2022, the investigators were deployed to the targeted divisions of Cameroon to collect data in the field. The partner organisations organised focus group discussions to reconcile the data collected. At the end of the data collection process, the data was analysed by a panel of scientists coordinated by Prof Tagou Célestin of the Protestant University of Central Africa. This publication contains the results of this research-action and the recommendations proposed at the time of the restitution of the results in December 2023.
