With him, the SCP partners are on a journey for more inclusion and less negative impacts in the prevention of conflicts and the strengthening of social cohesion on all the lands of Mount Cameroon…

2018-2021: What if we took stock?

Through expert Rolf Grafe, the SCP Network has undertaken since 2018 to empower its organizations in the planning and execution of conflict-sensitive projects. Thus, several workshops have been implemented to introduce these organizations to the “Do No Harm” concept, and then follow them in the application of the method in their various programs. Some peaceworkers, once trained, have even begun to play the role of Do No Harm multipliers with their service colleagues as well as beneficiaries, thus spreading the good news of working in conflict situations by developing specific sensitivities related to with the local context.

After three years of training and dissemination of knowledge of the Do No Harm approach among members of the SCP network and in the field, our consultant judged good to invite all the trainees and even some new aspirants, to a follow-up meeting in Ngaoundéré at the end of the Annual SCP Partners Workshop.

Taking place at Bois de Mardock[1], from Thursday September 16 to Friday September 17, 2021, this follow-up workshop clearly aimed to:

– Follow the Mbalmayo and Kribi formations;

– Evaluate the level of integration of individual homework;

– To gauge the rate of dissemination of Do No Harm knowledge within the SCP Cameroon Network;

– Deepen participants’ knowledge of the approach;

– Pool and share experiences in different group work – Show application options.
